General characteristics: Oregano essential oil is one of the most potent aromatherapy remedies, working reliably even at low dilutions. It is among the top valuable stimulating oils for its therapeutic properties. You'll appreciate its effects especially during times of epidemics.
Therapeutic properties of the oil:
Immunity – viruses, bacteria, fungi, infections, parasites (all pathogens)
Pain (analgesic) – muscles, joints, cramps (e.g. menstrual), arthritis
Respiratory system – respiratory tonic, opens the airways, supports expectoration, dissolves mucus, suitable for flu and bronchitis
Circulatory system – stimulation of blood circulation
Digestive system – inflammation, parasites, digestive stimulation, bloating
Detoxification – diaphoretic (sweat-inducing) and diuretic effect
Hormonal system – acts overall as a tonic (e.g. inducing menstruation)
Gynaecological and urological infections – high effectiveness, improves sexual function, used for intimate hygiene

Tip for a blend for skin fungal infections:
- 1 drop oregano + 1 drop tea tree + 2 drops lavender – mix with carrier oil (1 tsp). Apply a thin layer to the affected areas. Perform a tolerance test before use.
Important warning: The oil has a strongly warming effect and may cause skin burns. Recommended dilution for skin application is max. 1%. In high doses it damages the liver. Recommended use is limited to a max. of 10 days. It is recommended more for local skin application than for diffusing.
