Botanical name SK/CZ/EN: Rose geranium / Scented geranium / Geranium
Country of origin: Madagascar
Fragrance: spicy floral reminiscent of geranium

Production method: steam distillation of the flowers and leaves

• Citronellol * 25–43%
• Geraniol * 5–20%
• Linalool * 2–11%

Allergens*
General characteristics: An exceptional oil for women, often used as a substitute for expensive rose oil. Bourbon geranium is a variety of pelargonium from Madagascar with a more pronounced floral character than other varieties.
Therapeutic properties of the oil:
Immunity – bacteria, fungal infections (moulds), parasites, infections, inflammation
Pain (analgesic) – spasms, cramps, headaches
Respiratory system – inflammation of the bronchi/lungs, cough
Circulatory system – Venous tonic – suitable for application to the skin for spider veins and haemorrhoids

Tip for hair shine:
Simply add 3-4 drops to your shampoo or conditioner.
Tip for hydrating dry skin (facial serum:
4 drops geranium + 4 drops frankincense + 50 ml argan oil. Mix and apply to damp skin 1–2x daily.
Important warning:  When diffusing, use a maximum of 2 x 30 minutes a day. Half the time for children. Do not use for longer than 10 days, then take a break.
