Carnomed Sulforaphane EXTRA XXL 150 capsules

An original two-component nutraceutical – containing an effective bioactive combination of the enzyme myrosinase and sulforaphane. The active substance was first discovered in the world in the late 1950s by Slovak scientist Prof. RNDr. Katarína Horáková, DrSc., who studied the anti-cancer effect of natural sulforaphane on human cancer cells under in vitro conditions.

Sulforaphane is found in broccoli, has physiological benefits and provides protection against chronic diseases. In broccoli, it occurs in the form of glucoraphanin. To benefit from its effects, the presence of the enzyme myrosinase is necessary, as it converts glucoraphanin in the body into sulforaphane and allows its benefits to be utilised.

Sulforaphane helps prevent the onset, growth and spread of several serious diseases, including silent conditions affecting the breast, prostate, colon, skin, lungs, stomach and bladder.

Studies have shown that the risk of diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, stomach problems, neurodegenerative diseases, eye diseases and respiratory diseases can  decrease with increased consumption of sulforaphane.

It also has a positive effect on behavioural disorders in children affected by autism spectrum disorders, which may be reduced with regular use of sulforaphane.

SULFORAPHANE is a natural plant compound (phytochemical) found in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, rocket and Brussels sprouts. In these foods it occurs in an inactive form as glucoraphanin, which is only activated once the plant is disrupted by the enzyme myrosinase. SULFORAPHANE EXTRA supplies the body with glucoraphanin activated via the enzyme myrosinase, which is metabolised and absorbed in the small intestine as sulforaphane. The active myrosinase enzyme ensures a high level of utilisation of the active substance. It is quickly absorbed and has high bioavailability in the body.

• Brokorafanín® 200 mg* (glucoraphanin refined from broccoli seeds, standardised to 9-11% glucosinolates and myrosinase)
• bulking agent microcrystalline cellulose
• anti-caking agent magnesium stearate
• capsule shell hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (gastro-resistant capsule)

Ingredients: Activated glucoraphanin, made from broccoli seed sprouts (Brassica oleracea italica) containing glucosinolates and myrosinase.

Does not contain: gluten, yeast, wheat, corn, eggs, added sugar, starch, preservatives, peanuts or other nuts, fish or crustaceans.

Recommended dosage adults: Take 1 capsule of sulforaphane daily with food.
