    Compared with Arabica, Robusta is flavour-wise rather bland and is considered by experts to be an inferior, uninteresting coffee. Despite this, we've added this 100% Indian Robusta to our range. It contains up to 3x more caffeine than Arabica, which is why it works as a genuine, real energy drink. It's also well suited for experimenting and creating your own blends, where Arabica forms the main part and a certain percentage (ideally up to 20%) is Robusta.

    Product detailed description

    Coffee flavour

    The coffee has a full body. The flavour is strongly bitter and earthy, without a hint of acidity or fruity sharpness. The flavour itself won't surprise you, but it still has its own charm. As an espresso, it produces an exceptionally thick crema.

    Coffee origin

    Robusta plants of the S.274 and CxR varieties are grown in the Tamil Nadu region, at an altitude of 950 - 1200 m above sea level. Unusually for Robusta, this coffee is processed using the wet method, and is hand-picked and hand-sorted. NOTE! Robusta contains up to 3x more caffeine than Arabica.
