The sponge has been used in Japan for more than 100 years, where it was mainly used for newborns because of its soft texture. Instructions for use:

Rinse with warm water and let the sponge soak up water. Gently massage the face; there is no need to use soap or any other cleanser. After use, gently squeeze out the water and hang it up to dry. Replace the sponge every 2 months (after approx. 60 uses).
