General characteristics: In ancient times, frankincense, along with other aromatic substances, was valued like gems or precious metals. Frankincense essential oil has a purifying and protective effect, it grounds you, and its effects are remarkable both for the skin and for the digestive and respiratory systems.
Therapeutic properties of the oil:
Immunity – bacteria, viruses, infections, moulds, parasites, inflammation
Pain (analgesic) – pain of various origins (sports injuries, headaches, migraines, musculoskeletal system), including nerve pain
Respiratory system – dissolves mucus, suitable for inflammation of the bronchi/lungs, cough

3 drops frankincense + 3 drops orange – mix with 1–2 tbsp carrier oil (e.g. almond) – massage the reflex zones on the hands and feet.
Tip for a massage for morning stiffness (muscles and joints, for rheumatism, arthritis):
3 drops frankincense, 3 drops mint or cinnamon into 1–2 tbsp almond oil – massage the affected areas towards the heart.
Important warning: Do not use in people with hormone-dependent cancers (prostate, uterus, breast), or in asthmatics and epileptics. When diffusing, use 1–2 drops depending on the size of the room and diffuse for a maximum of 30 minutes 2 x daily (15 minutes for children).
