GENUINE ITALIAN ESPRESSO
This coffee impresses at first sight with its beautiful thick crema. In the flavour, full chocolate and cocoa notes come together. It's dominated by bitter chocolate and cocoa, with a hint of a spicy, smoky aftertaste.
Since we're not barbarians, there's no oil bath here. We know how to roast coffee darker without causing pyrolysis and the breakdown of sugars in the bean. So you don't need to worry about oily, smelly coffee. It may sound like a cliché, but Italy is a modern dark roast.
Who is Italy for? For people who love a bitter, strong coffee prepared as espresso. Unlike Italian blends, however, Italy is roasted so that the bitterness of the flavour comes from caramelised carbohydrates in the bean rather than burnt oils created by over-roasting.

Coffee flavour
The coffee has a full, chocolatey body. The flavour is dominated by bitter chocolate and cocoa, with a hint of a spicy, smoky note thanks to the Robusta. Acidity is almost non-existent. The aftertaste also carries a chocolatey character and is long and intense.
Coffee origin
The blend is made from wet-processed Central American coffees and wet-processed Indian Robusta. The coffee consists of 50% Honduras Santa Rosa, 25% Nicaragua Jinotega and 25% India Kaapi Royal Robusta. Hand-picked and hand-sorted.
