Application to skin
Using the pipette, take a small amount of oil and apply it to damp skin. Damp skin helps the oil absorb quickly without a greasy feeling. Then spread evenly over the whole face, you can also treat the neck and décolletage, or the eye area (moringa, argan, grapeseed and prickly pear oil). Massage gently into the skin with light tapping movements and leave to absorb. During frosty days, apply the oil to dry skin.
Tips for combining with essential oils:
Oily skin – citrus oils, tea tree (ideally combined with grapeseed oil)
Dry and mature skin – geranium, rose, rosewood, ylang ylang, frankincense, neroli, sandalwood (ideally combined with argan, rosehip and prickly pear oil)
Acne – citrus oils, tea tree, lavender (ideally combined with grapeseed oil)
Cellulite – cinnamon, pink grapefruit, juniper, ginger (suitable as an oil wrap)
Muscle and joint pain – eucalyptus, lavender, mint, rosemary, frankincense, pine, spruce, litsea, camphor, cajeput
Fungal infections – tea tree, oregano, thyme
Dilution: 3 – 5 drops of essential oil + 1 tablespoon of carrier oil (for fungal infections, a higher dilution can be used short-term – approx. 10 drops)
Before use, perform a tolerance test!
Application to hair
These oils are especially appreciated by those troubled by dry and split hair. They hydrate the hair and give it a healthy shine. They provide the scalp with much-needed nourishment and help repair hair damaged by sun exposure and excessive use of hairdryers or straighteners. They also prevent excessive hair loss and make styling easier.
For best effect, the oil is ideally applied to damp hair. Using the pipette, draw up the desired amount and rub the oil between your palms. Then work it in with gentle strokes along the full length of the hair, the scalp, or just the ends of the hair.
Oil wrap: apply to damp hair about an hour before washing. Wrap the hair in film (plastic cling film works well) and then a towel. Leave the wrap on for 30–60 minutes, or even longer (an overnight treatment also works well). Then wash the hair with shampoo and style as needed.
