Tulsi is one of the best-known Ayurvedic herbs. It is also called the "elixir of life" and has been used for its health benefits for several thousand years. Ingredients: Tulsi – holy basil (Ocimum sanctum) leaves 28.84%, turmeric (Curcuma longa) rhizome 25.00%, ginger (Zingiber officinale) rhizome 22.53%, Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum) bark 16.00%, black pepper (Piper nigrum) fruit 3.00%, cloves – clove tree (Eugenia aromatica) flower bud 2.00%, liquorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) root 2.63%.

Dosage: 1 tea bag per one to two cups or a small teapot or thermos.
Preparation: Pour 200 – 300 ml of boiling water over 1 tea bag and leave to steep for 5 – 10 minutes, depending on how aromatic and strong you want the tea. Sweeten to taste. Not recommended with milk. Suitable for drinking throughout the day, as it is caffeine free. For maximum effect, drink 2 to 3 cups a day.
Preparing iced tea: to prepare 1 litre of iced tea, use 5 tea bags, pour 2 cups of boiling water over them, cover and leave to steep for 20 minutes. Then remove the tea bags, add 2 cups of cold water and leave to cool. For maximum effect, drink 3 to 5 cups a day.
