WHY DRINK MATCHA TEA?

Finely ground Japanese green matcha tea contains a huge amount of beneficial substances. It is roughly 10x stronger than regular green tea and contains a high proportion of antioxidants, amino acids and theophylline. Theophylline is tea caffeine, which, unlike the caffeine in coffee, is released gradually over a period of 3-6 hours, which has a more favourable effect on the human body. Matcha Tea is the only tea that contains roughly 30% fibre.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE INDIVIDUAL MATCHA TEAS IN THE PACKAGE?

Bio Matcha Tea Harmony is our starter matcha. It has a strong flavour and is therefore great for flavouring with various syrups, fruit juices or smoothies. It is very popular among those who are just starting out with matcha.
Bio Matcha Tea Imperial has a somewhat milder flavour, but still has a strong earthy taste. Imperial is a very versatile matcha. It tastes great on its own, but also when flavoured.
Bio Matcha Tea Premium is a matcha with a truly delicate flavour. We recommend drinking Premium without flavouring, at most with a few drops of lemon juice. You will best appreciate the delicate and refined taste of this matcha only after trying the previous ranges.

WHERE IS BIO MATCHA TEA HARMONY GROWN?

Harmony is grown in the Japanese regions of Shizuoka and Aichi, Bio Matcha Tea Imperial comes from the Shizuoka region, and Premium is harvested in the Aichi region, where the tea is picked exclusively by hand.

IS BIO MATCHA TEA REGULARLY TESTED?

Yes, we regularly test all our types of tea for yeasts, moulds, pesticides and E. coli bacteria. You can always find the test results on our website, or you can request them by email. When requesting the tests, please state the batch number, which you will find on the bottom of the box. Regular testing is a guarantee of quality, and if you are planning to buy matcha tea of another brand, be very careful when choosing it. In particular, its cheap substitutes, which mostly come from China, do not have the same properties as the genuine article from Japan. Require the seller to provide current tests, which must always match the current batch of the tea on offer.

WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED DAILY DOSE?

The recommended daily dose for an adult is 4-6 grams. Pregnant women, breastfeeding women and children approximately 2 grams per day.

HOW IS BIO MATCHA TEA PREPARED?

The best way to prepare matcha is in a shaker or a sealable bottle. Pour a portion of Matcha Tea into the container and shake thoroughly in cold or, alternatively, warm water. When preparing it hot, the temperature should not exceed 70 °C. In our range you will also find a wide selection of shakers that are certified for food contact and do not contain any undesirable substances such as BPA.

The shelf life of Bio Matcha Tea is 24 months.

No allergens are known for this product. We do not recommend drinking Bio Matcha Tea on an empty stomach. It is a very strong tea and may cause nausea on an empty stomach.
