Detailed information

Product detailed description

Thanks to its elegant design and high quality, this cup is ideal for storing and drinking water in line with the traditional Ayurvedic way of life. The cup has a capacity of 470 ml and weighs 150 grams, ensuring a firm grip and making it suitable for everyday use. The high-gloss polished surface gives the cup a stylish, luxurious look.

According to Ayurvedic tradition, water that has been left for some time in a pure copper bottle or cup is called Tamra Jal. This centuries-old tradition is still valued as part of a mindful and natural lifestyle. Ayurveda states that storing water in a copper bottle or cup for 8–10 hours has a balancing effect on the three bio-energies (doshas) that circulate through the human body (Vata: the air element, Pitta: the fire element, and Kapha: the water element). In addition, water in copper drinking vessels turns into naturally alkaline water, which helps keep your body's pH balanced.

Oxidation – a natural process
Pure copper is a living natural material and reacts with oxygen, moisture and water. As a result, colour changes can occur, such as brown or black tones, and eventually a blue-green (patina) layer may even form. This is a completely natural oxidation process and a characteristic feature of genuine, pure copper. The colour change does not affect the quality or functionality of the product and can easily be removed. With regular maintenance, the mug retains its warm copper colour and characteristic appearance.

Maintenance
Regularly cleaning the mug keeps the copper beautifully shiny and in optimal condition.
