Ayurveda has advocated the benefits of drinking water from copper vessels since ancient times. Ayurveda states that leaving water in a copper bottle or cup for 8–10 hours has a balancing effect on the three bioenergies (doshas) that circulate through the human body (Vata: the air element, Pitta: the fire element, and Kapha: the water element). In addition, water in copper vessels turns into naturally alkaline water, which helps maintain your body's pH balance. 

Copper discolours due to natural oxidation. This is called patina. The material may also start to show spots. These are natural properties of copper and have no negative effect on drinking from a copper item. Pure copper reacts with oxygen, water and residues in the water, such as sulphur. In practice, this means that the item has a high copper content and purifies water well. Discolouration of the interior is not harmful. If the discolouration becomes too pronounced, you can clean the bottle, jug, water container or cup.

Copper drinking vessels are suitable for water only, not for example for milk, citrus juices or acidic liquids.

Do not wash in a dishwasher. Clean with natural soap, a soft sponge and room-temperature water. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
