Ayurveda states that keeping water in a copper bottle or cup for 8-10 hours has a balancing effect on the three bioenergies (doshas) that circulate through the human body (Vata: the air element, Pitta: the fire element, and Kapha: the water element). In addition, water in copper drinking vessels naturally becomes alkaline, which helps maintain a balanced pH level. 

Over time, copper changes colour due to natural oxidation. This is called patina. Spots may also appear on the material. These are natural properties of copper and do not have a negative effect on drinking from a copper item. Pure copper reacts with oxygen, water and residual substances in the water, such as sulphur. This means the item has a high copper content and is effective at purifying water. Discolouration on the inside is not harmful. If the discolouration becomes excessive, you can clean the bottle, jug, water tank or cup.

Copper drinking vessels are suitable for water only, not for milk, citrus juices or acidic liquids.

Do not wash in a dishwasher. Clean with natural soap, a soft sponge and room-temperature water. Protect from direct sunlight.

Ideal use:

• Fill the bottle in the evening with clean still water
• Leave to stand 6-8 hours (overnight)
• Drink in the morning on an empty stomach (according to Ayurvedic tradition)
• Volume 950 ml = approximately 0.5-1 mg of copper when left to stand overnight

⚠️ Important warnings:

• Do not use the bottle all day - copper is released continuously
• One full bottle a day is sufficient
• It is not recommended to drink more than 2-3 litres of water from a copper bottle per day
• Alternate with regular water from other sources

• Store acidic drinks (lemon water, juices)
• Use for hot drinks
• Leave water to stand for more than 16-24 hours
