Thanks to the hygroscopic properties of salt lamps, the salt absorbs moisture from the air. 

If you notice condensation or water on the lamp, this is usually caused by not using the lamp for a longer period. This phenomenon occurs mainly in humid environments. In this case, gently wipe the lamp with a dry cloth or expose the lamp to strong sunlight for 4 to 5 hours and then remove any excess crystals. If you are not going to use the lamp for a longer period, unplug the cable and remove it from the fixture. 

In humid conditions, we recommend placing the lamp on a tray or bowl so that any water can be caught.
