What is Magnesium L-Threonate?
Magnesium L-Threonate is a special form of magnesium in which magnesium is bound to L-threonate – a derivative of vitamin C. This form was authorised by the European Commission as novel food (EU Regulation 2024/2694 of 17 October 2024) and included among the approved sources of magnesium for food supplements in the EU (EU Regulation 2025/2225).
Unlike common forms of magnesium (oxide, citrate), this is a new, scientifically researched form with proven bioavailability confirmed by EFSA itself.
