Product detailed description
Samahan has anti-inflammatory effects, acts as an analgesic and antipyretic (helps to reduce elevated temperature), and aids expectoration. It is therefore an effective aid for respiratory illnesses accompanied by raised temperature and fever. Ayurvedic doctors recommend drinking it regularly to boost immunity and as general prevention against various illnesses. Samahan can be used by adults and children of any age; children under five may take half the dose.
Ayurvedic healing philosophy is based on the premise that most illnesses arise from the accumulation of toxins in the body, with toxins forming as a result of insufficient digestion and elimination. In order to prevent illness, it is therefore necessary to support and strengthen the digestive system, which Ayurveda achieves through the spices contained in its medicinal products. Samahan also contains several medicinal spices; it is a blend of the following active substances: ginger, sugar cane, medicinal ginger, black pepper, long pepper, Roman cumin, coriander, Coptic cumin, greater galangal and a few lesser-known elements.
According to Ayurvedic philosophy, the entire healing system is based on the laws of nature. Treatment, too, should draw on natural sources; we should not immediately reach for synthetic medicines, since natural remedies and products are familiar to the body, which is able to recognise them, and they do not burden our digestive or excretory systems, our kidneys or our liver. For minor problems, it is certainly better to reach for natural products.
According to Ayurvedic philosophy, all areas of a person's life (physical, mental, spiritual) should be in harmony. Only then can health be established. A person's health is built on the harmonious balance of three vital energies – the so-called doshas – Vata, Pitta, Kapha – which are a combination of the five basic elements (earth, water, fire, air and space) and exist in a unique ratio in every person. Both treatment and prevention in Ayurveda respect individual differences and focuses precisely on establishing this balance. It restores balance through a suitable diet, herbal extracts, detoxification of the body, massages and other treatments.
Alongside treatment, it places emphasis primarily on prevention. Western medicine has recognised this system of healing since 1982.
Ayurveda is the oldest system of healing. It has behind it five thousand years of Indian experience. As its name suggests, it is the science of human longevity (ayur = life and longevity, veda = science, knowledge). The Ayurvedic system of healing is based on several pillars; besides nutrition, it also includes herbal therapy, relaxation, yoga, meditation, massage and detoxification.
