Bio Matcha Tea Premium is a high-quality Japanese matcha tea. The hand-picked tea leaves are ground into a fine powder, so by drinking the tea we essentially consume the whole green tea leaf. This allows us to make the most of all its health-beneficial substances, which include a high percentage of antioxidants, amino acids, and around 10 times more nutritional value than ordinary green tea. Matcha contains theophylline, a tea equivalent of caffeine, which is released gradually over 3-6 hours and represents a more favourable alternative for the body than, for example, coffee. Bio Matcha Tea Premium is a product with a more delicate taste, which is why it is not suitable as a food ingredient. Bio Matcha Tea Premium is even greener, with an even higher content of amino acids, and an even higher proportion of caffeine than Bio Matcha Tea Harmony. The tea leaves used to produce Bio Matcha Tea Premium are carefully selected to ensure the premium quality of this product, which is reflected in the price.

What certification does Bio Matcha Tea Premium have?
Bio Matcha Tea Premium is certified with the Bio mark. Matcha Tea has successfully held this mark since 2012, when it was awarded to this company as the first in Slovakia for matcha tea. Matcha Tea's certificates also include a Certificate of Health Safety of the Product issued by the State Health Institute. Matcha Tea places equally high demands on its Japanese suppliers, who hold certificates such as: JAS, OCIA, USDA, Bureau Veritas, ISO 9001, Kosher and others.

Is Bio Matcha Tea regularly tested?
Every single batch of Bio Matcha Tea Premium that crosses the border of Slovakia is tested, among other things, for the presence of mould, pesticides, and E. coli bacteria. These tests are available to the general public, but if customers are interested, they can also be sent the tests by email. Simply state the batch number in the email, which is shown on the bottom of the Bio Matcha Tea Premium box. This regular testing guarantees the quality of this product. If you decide to choose a different matcha brand, ask the seller for current test results that correspond to the current batch of the tea being offered. On the Slovak market you may come across cheap matcha substitutes, which mostly come from China. These substitutes do not match the quality of genuine Japanese tea, whether in composition, colour or taste.

The home of the tea plant used to produce Bio Matcha Tea Premium is the Nishio region, where the tea is harvested exclusively by hand.

What is the recommended daily dose?
The recommended daily dose for an adult is 4-6 grams. Pregnant women, breastfeeding women and children approx. 2 grams a day.

How is Bio Matcha Tea Premium prepared?
Matcha of such high quality is suitable for the traditional Japanese tea ceremony, but it is also well suited to modern preparation in a shaker or a sealable bottle. Empty the contents of the 1.5g sachet into a container and shake it thoroughly in cold or warm water up to 65°C. Matcha Tea shakers are certified for food contact and do not contain any undesirable substances, such as BPA.

If you prefer the traditional method, use a bamboo chashaku spoon to put a portion of tea into the chawan tea bowl, pour in water at a maximum temperature of 65°C, and whisk with a Chasen bamboo whisk. For usucha, the lighter variant of the tea, use 2 chashaku scoops or one teaspoon of tea, pour in 70 ml of water and whisk vigorously in an M shape. For koicha, a more intense drink, use 3-4 chashaku scoops or 2 teaspoons, 40 ml of water and stir gently in a circular motion.

How should Matcha Tea be stored?
Storing the tea has already been taken care of by the high-quality sachets, whose packaging protects the matcha from air and light, the biggest triggers of its degradation. Matcha is therefore very undemanding when it comes to storage, and the quality packaging guarantees freshness. If you are considering buying a 100 g or larger package for personal consumption, bear in mind that tea in a package that does not have a protective atmosphere. quickly loses quality. The quality of aroma, colour and taste declines within a matter of days, so this kind of package may therefore not be worth it.
