Product detailed description
Black caraway, Latin name Nigella sativa, is also known in Slovakia as black cumin, nigella, or black sesame. The first mentions of the use of this miraculous crop date back more than 3000 years.
One seed, dozens of active substances
Before we look at the effects of black caraway, we should first look at its components, which are the source of all those positive effects. Every single black caraway seed contains vitamin B, calcium, phosphorus, zinc, iron, several saturated and unsaturated fatty acids, linoleic, arachidonic, folic and myristic acid, as well as a substance called thymoquinone, and beta-sitosterol. And of course, many other components, which would take several more lines to list.
Although at first glance these substances may mean nothing to you, you can be sure that their healing effects are remarkable. Together, the individual components form effective complexes that can tackle problems in the human body, quite literally from head to toe.
Beneficial effects on the digestive system
Black caraway oil is very popular in Asia, where it is used to treat almost every problem with the digestive system. Extracts of black caraway, for example, help against flatulence, provide noticeable relief from heartburn, support stomach function and ease diarrhoea. Experts agree that giving black caraway extracts is also suitable for infants who suffer from colic. This is because colic is most often caused by flatulence, which black caraway can effectively eliminate.
Black caraway for external use too
Black caraway shows its significant effects not only with internal but also external use. Black caraway oil is sought after mainly for treating skin conditions. It helps treat various skin inflammations, ulcers, or rashes. It nourishes the skin, restoring its original shine and elasticity. You may know that free radicals are responsible for wrinkle formation and skin ageing, and black caraway neutralises them with its effective antioxidants, helping to restore young, vital skin.
How to take black caraway?
You now know many of the benefits of taking caraway, but you may now be wondering where to actually get it and how to take it. Black caraway seeds can be taken in various ways. For internal use, take 1 tablespoon directly by mouth twice daily and wash it down with 3 dl of water. Also suitable as an addition to various dishes.
It is also suitable to take alongside Milk Thistle as part of a detox cure.

Milk thistle is a herbal remedy derived from the milk thistle plant, also known as Silybum marianum.
This thorny plant has striking purple flowers and white veins, which traditional stories say were caused by drops of the Virgin Mary's milk falling on its leaves.
The active components in milk thistle are a group of plant compounds known as silymarin (1).
Its herbal remedy is known as milk thistle extract. Milk thistle extract has a high content of silymarin (between 65-80%), which has been concentrated from the milk thistle plant.
Silymarin extracted from milk thistle is known to have antioxidant, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties (2, 3, 4).
Milk thistle is traditionally used to support the treatment of liver and gallbladder disorders, and supports breast milk production.
