ASHWAGANDHA (Ashwagandha)

Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera - Indian ginseng) is one of the most valuable herbs in the Ayurvedic medical system.

The translation of the word Ashwagandha is ashwa – horse and gandha – smell. The root of the plant is used  for its therapeutic effect.

Regular use of Ashwagandha restores strength to your muscles, eases their pain and relaxes the entire muscular system. In Ayurveda the herb is used from children to the elderly. Many Western healers call Ashwagandha the Ayurvedic ginseng because of its reputation for increasing energy, strength and resilience.
