Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera - Indian ginseng) is one of the most valuable herbs in the Ayurvedic medical system.

The translation of the word Ashwagandha is ashwa – horse and gandha – smell. The root of the plant is used  for its therapeutic effect.

Regular use of Ashwagandha restores strength to your muscles, eases their pain and relaxes the entire muscular system. In Ayurveda the herb is used from children to the elderly. Many Western healers call Ashwagandha the Ayurvedic ginseng because of its reputation for increasing energy, strength and resilience.

Tips for combining with other herbs and spices:

Ashwagandha combines very well with ginger and PIPALLI pepper. The combination with Shatavari is very effective. The combination of Ashwagandha with honey, ghee and milk also has exceptional effects – especially in the evening (for restful sleep and mental balance). For stress, mix Ashwagandha into your morning smoothie. To support sexuality it is also added to chocolate desserts.
